Remote Vehicle Intelligence Report

Know what you're wiring money for.

You found the car three states away. The photos look clean, the seller answers fast, and the price almost makes sense. Before the deposit leaves your account, put a trained eye on the evidence. We review the listing, the records, and the seller's own photos and video the same way we inspect cars in person: looking for what someone hoped you wouldn't notice.

Who reads your report

Every report is researched, read, and written by Tristan Zadeh, Founder and Principal Inspector of Zero In Diagnostics. Rivian Level 4 Field Service Technician, the highest field classification. Mercedes-Benz factory trained. A full year of dedicated body, paint, panel, and frame training. A decade in the industry, with formal automotive training since 2015. No call center, no checklist temp, no AI-generated verdicts. One inspector, accountable for every word.

What you get

1. VIN verification and full build decode: exact options, production date, and drivetrain, confirmed against what the listing claims.

2. Carfax vehicle history report, purchased by us and included in your price. You never buy a report through a stranger's link, and neither does the seller.

3. Salvage auction archive sweep: if this VIN ever crossed Copart or IAAI, we pull the original auction photos and damage records and put them side by side with today's listing.

4. Open recalls plus the TSB and known-failure profile for this exact build at this mileage, with realistic repair cost bands.

5. Listing forensics: a photo-by-photo read for respray tells, panel and trim inconsistencies, wear that doesn't match the odometer, and staging tricks.

6. Seller evidence kit: the exact questions and the specific photo and video demands tuned to this build's weak points, written for you to forward as-is.

7. Seller cooperation grade: what they produced, what they dodged, and what that tells you.

8. The verdict: proceed, proceed with conditions, or walk. Plain English reasoning and your negotiation points.

9. Delivered as a Zero In Diagnostics PDF within 2 business days of payment. Seller evidence that lands late gets folded into a free addendum for 7 days.

The EV tier adds

1. Battery degradation expectations for this exact platform and model year, from disclosed sources.

2. The precise pack data to demand from the seller, with instructions for how they pull it on their car.

3. High-voltage battery warranty status and exactly what transfers to you.

4. Charging reality check: connector, real-world speeds, and what home and road charging look like with this vehicle.

5. Our standing rule: defensible data or stated limits, sources disclosed. No pack data, no battery claims.

The fine print

This is a remote evidence review, not a physical inspection. Nobody touches the car. Findings are limited to what the records, the listing, and seller-supplied media can prove. Every report carries a source ledger stating exactly what was verified, what was seller-claimed, and what was unavailable. No document can guarantee a vehicle's condition, and this one doesn't pretend to. When a deal gets serious, a physical pre-purchase inspection remains the gold standard, and your report tells you exactly what to have that inspector chase. If the VIN can't be verified, or the listing dies before work starts, you get a full refund.

FAQ

Is this the same as a pre-purchase inspection? No. A PPI puts hands and tools on the car. This puts professional judgment on everything a remote buyer can actually access, before travel or transport money gets spent. Many buyers use both: the report first to decide whether the car deserves an inspection, then a physical PPI to close.

What if the seller won't send the photos or video? That refusal goes in your report as part of the cooperation grade. A seller who won't shoot a 60-second cold start video is telling you something for free.

Why do you buy the Carfax instead of asking the seller for one? Because report-link scams are everywhere, and honest sellers rightly ignore those requests. We purchase it directly, so nobody in the deal is ever asked to spend money on a link.

What do you need from me to start? The listing link. Everything else we can chase.

Do you also inspect cars in person? Yes, throughout the Salt Lake City area, at the vehicle's location. Your report includes a $50 credit toward that inspection on the same VIN.
