I'm based in Salt Lake City and travel to the vehicle for every inspection. I cover Utah and surrounding states, and I'm available nationwide for high-value purchases. Client covers travel expenses for inspections outside the Salt Lake City area: airfare, hotel, and ground transportation. I don't outsource inspections. I personally inspect every vehicle.

A standard inspection typically takes 2-3 hours. Specialist inspections on luxury European, EV, performance, or collector vehicles can take 3-5 hours depending on complexity. I don't rush inspections to fit a schedule. The vehicle gets whatever time it needs for a thorough evaluation. I'll give you a time estimate once I know the specific vehicle.

A professional written report with photos, diagnostic scan data, live data findings, any fault codes and their severity, mechanical and electrical condition, exterior and paint assessment, and a summary of every issue found. The report includes market value impact analysis so you know how findings affect what the vehicle is actually worth, plus specific negotiation recommendations you can take directly to the seller.

Yes. I work with buyers on Bring a Trailer, RM Sotheby's, Bonhams, Mecum, and Cars & Bids. If the auction house allows pre-sale inspections, I'll inspect the vehicle in person before bidding closes, and I travel to the car for off-site and sight-unseen auction buys. Timing is tight on auctions, so reach out as early as possible once you've identified a vehicle.
